Before you get started

Share in a chat

You can share directly to anyone with a Google Account if they're in your contacts or by searching their email address or phone number. For everyone else, you can create a link to share.

If your contact'south phone number isn't associated with their Google Account, y'all tin help them find and connect with you. If your contact doesn't accept a Google Account, you can send them a link or share using some other app instead.

To share with other people in a conversation:

  1. On your mobile device, open the Google Photos app Photos.
  2. Sign in to your Google Business relationship.
  3. Select a photo, album, or video.
  4. Tap Share Share.
  5. Under "Ship in Google Photos," select people to share with.
    • To share with ane person, tap their name.
    • To find someone specific, tap Search . Enter their name, phone number, or email address.
    • To share with more than one person, select multiple people.
      • (Optional) Add a message to go with your shared media.
  6. To share, tapSend. This will create an ongoing conversation thread where you lot and the people y'all take shared with tin can add together additional photos, videos, comments, and likes over time.

Tips:

  • There is a twenty,000 photo limit on conversations.
  • To hibernate a suggested sharing contact, press and hold their profile photo and tap Hide suggestion. To notice them once again to share something with them later, tap Search , enter their proper noun, and tapEvidence hidden suggestions.

You can as well automatically share your entire library with someone.

Create a shared anthology

Of import:

Send a link or share to other apps

  1. On your mobile device, open the Google Photos app Photos.
  2. Select a photo, album, or video.
  3. Tap Share Share.
  4. Under "Share to apps," select another app to share to. Swipe left to find more apps.
  5. To create and share a link, tap Create link.

What happens when you share

  • When you transport to a contact in Google Photos:
    • Contacts you shared with get an in-app notification and a push notification from the app. The shared item(southward) announced in their Sharing page.
    • When y'all share a new anthology or conversation with them, they'll also receive an email notification.
    • Their business relationship contour photo or initial is added to the album or conversation and volition appear faded until they view the album or chat.

  • If you share a video captured fully or partially in dull move, others may be able to view whatsoever part of the video at a slower speed in their own role player.

What happens when someone shares with you

If your contact can't share their media, y'all can help them discover and connect with you.

  • When someone shares an album or chat with you, y'all will receive an electronic mail.
  • If you already employ Google Photos, you volition also receive an in-app notification and a push notification and the share will appear in your Sharing page.
  • When you lot view the anthology or conversation, your account profile photo or initial in the anthology will light upwardly and  appear side by side to the latest photos, comments, or likes you have viewed.
  • If y'all join a shared album or like, comment, or add photos in a shared album or conversation, your account contour photo or initial will announced next to the activeness you took.

Manage your conversations & albums

Review an album

  1. Open the anthology you lot shared.

  2. Click MoreMoreand then Options.

Leave an album or conversation

When y'all get out a shared album or conversation, all of the photos, videos, comments, and likes you have added volition exist removed.

To go out an album:

  1. Click the album.
  2. At the peak right, click More Moreand thenGo out album.

To leave a chat:

  1. Click the conversation.

Remove items from shared albums & conversations

To remove photos and videos:
